And these stains are not just limited to your clothes but any piece of furniture as well. Fortunately, it is not hard to learn how to remove tea stains rapidly and efficiently, and there are several methods that you can try.
The kitchen and sink method for removing tea stains
One of the simplest ways to remove tea stains is to pour warm water through the garment or fabric.
You can start by holding your stained piece of fabric right above the sink or even better, pin it in the place so that you can use both your hands. After that, warm some water in a kettle, so that it is only warm to touch and not boiling. Start by slowly pouring the warm water directly where the stain is so that it can drain through the fibers and out the other side of the fabric.
After a time period of 15 seconds, you can stop pouring and put few drops of detergent directly to both sides of the garment where the stain is. Then rub the detergent until it gets completely absorbed and then you can rinse until all the detergent is absorbed by the fabric.
Soak and wash technique for the tea stains
There might be some stains that are stubborn for which you can try soaking in stain remover before giving it away for a wash.
All you have to do is fill any sort of container with warm water and detergent in it. Then, just go with the instructions on the label of the detergent. You can let your fabric sit in the container for a few hours. This is supposed to loosen the stain and prepare the fabric to go in the washing.
Other methods of getting rid of tea stains
Vinegar
Almost all kitchens and restaurants will have a cupboard supplied with vinegar. Vinegar can act as a great stain remover when in a bit. You can mix one teaspoon of vinegar into a few cups of water and spray or pour down the liquid over the stain. After that, gently rub the garment and you will see the stain lifting.
